IntraMaps at the Alpine Shire
DMS is pleased to welcome Alpine Shire Council to the IntraMaps User Community. Located in the picturesque town of Bright in north eastern Victoria, Alpine Shire covers an area of 4,839 square kilometres with 92% of the Shire designated public land including large tracts of the Alpine National Park.
The GIS staff have recently released IntraMaps Public on their website, incorporating easy-to-use access to high quality cartographic maps and a wide range of Council’s spatial data. An innovative feature is the customised Property Reports generated at the click of a button containing property, government, utility, waste, asset, planning and building information as well as distances to the closet council facilities.
Additionally, IntraMaps Enterprise has been implemented for internal access by all Council staff. The system includes full two way application integration with Council’s Authority Property and Rating System to provide a streamlined solution for distribution of corporate information. In the future, Council will also be looking towards further integration with other corporate systems.
