MapControl Project - My Maroondah

Maroondah City Council has just released their latest public web mapping application called “My Maroondah” which has been developed by DMS using the IntraMaps MapControl technology. The application has been customised to take on the “look and feel” of the Council’s existing website and has been seamlessly embedded in the webpage. DMS worked closely with the GIS and IT staff at Maroondah City Council to ensure that the application reflected their requirements.

Residents can now quickly find information about where they live including their council representatives, the next waste collection date or the nearest school, by simply entering a search on their address. This allows the general public or casual users to easily access specific spatial information without the need to understand a complex web mapping application.

With the release of IntraMaps 2012, the MapControl functionality has been significantly enhanced, enabling DMS to deliver fully integrated and customised mapping applications.
