Quantum GIS

Digital Mapping Solutions is pleased to be able to offer our clients support for Quantum GIS (QGIS). QGIS is an open source, community driven,desktop Geographic Information System (GIS). The application is licenced under the GNU General Public Licence and has no licencing costs.

To assist our clients in the transition from vendor based GIS software applications to QGIS we have added a two day training course to our available training programs. The course has been designed to provide an introduction to the core tools and functionality within QGIS related to a variety of daily data editing and manipulation tasks.

No previous GIS software experience is necessary, however a knowledge of basic spatial and GIS concepts is beneficial.
